Isabel Bryn Lowe

Christine did an amazing job delivering. The entire delivery process took 2 hours. We arrived at the hospital at 12:00 pm and she was born at 2:12 pm. Pretty impressive. Christine also delivered Isabel naturally even though she has planned on an epidural. Isabel just came to quick for her to get the full benefits of an epidural and it would have possibly slowed the birth down.

Boo Watch 2011

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but we've been preparing for baby boo's arrival. We've been crazy busy with the finishing touches on the nursery (pics to come) and taking our baby classes. I hope we are prepared because Christine has been have major contractions and cramping the last few days. There is 9 min. between each contraction. I believe they have to be 5 min. apart for it to be show time. The doc said she was 2 centimeter's dilated and 70%-80% effaced. I'm guessing all this means that baby boo is coming in the next couple of days. So everyone keep us in your thoughts. We'll keep you all posted on progress.

Buttons

Christine had a great idea to make awesome, colorful drapes without spending the top dollar that you would expect to pay at the Pottery Barns of the world. We simply bought some white panel drapes at Ikea that cost $40 for all four drapes and sewed colorful buttons onto them for a splash of color. This was a great way to save some money and also get the impact we wanted to achieve. It was time consuming but worth if for our girl.

Christine measuring lengths
  She's very precise.

I even got in to the action.

Christine ironing and hemming.

Button selection is tedious.

The drapes look great! Especially with the awesome "Baby Boo" banner Jana made for us. Thanks Jana! I know Baby Boo will love it.

Things are starting to come together. The crib that Baby Boo's grandma got her is finally put together and looking great. We're getting close now. And good thing, only 5 weeks till the big event!

Christine

I've had a lot of requests for more pics of Christine. Here's a couple to keep you busy.
Doesn't she look great in front of mountains? I think so.
Christine strutting her stuff while working on Baby Boo's drapes. More to come on that.

Sweet Leaf

Christine came up with one of the coolest idea's for Baby Boo's nursery. We are both big fans of Sweet Leaf Tea's. It's a great product and I'm pretty sure we buy it by the case load. Anyway, under each Sweet Leaf cap is a grannyism. They are clever and fun saying's that pertain to everyday life, like "Go with the Flow." We've been collecting these caps for sometime now to get the right grannyism's that would be appropriate to baby boo's life development. We took the caps and framed them in a shadowbox for her nursery. It looks fantastic and also provides fun and helpful hints to assist her in life choices and to just enjoy life in general.

Nursery update

Sorry it's been so long since the last time I posted anything. We've been soooo busy, but not to busy to do some work on the nursery. We actually had a really productive weekend. We finally refinishing the dresser. We went with a paint color called "Razzle Dazzle." It's every bit as crazy as it sounds. It's basically a hot pink with a touch of raspberry. We also used razzle dazzle to paint some floating shelves that we installed on the wall. Her new cool animal posters found their new home on the wall instead of sadly leaning against the dresser. Christine also started figuring out the drapes to. I don't have any pics of that yet, but everything else I mentioned is in the photo's below. I hope you enjoy them as much as much as us.

Constrution of the dresser. I couldn't help using my new wide-angle lens for this shot.
The shelves were white, but we went with Razzle Dazzle to add some punch.

Another shot of the dresser under construction.

Voila!! It's finished.

One wall is almost complete.

Another angle.
